Donnatella’s Space remembers an Old School bathroom favourite, Zest soap.
This ‘ancient’ bar of Zest was found among some of my grandmother’s belongings during a well-needed clear out. Priced at nineteen and a half pence, I would say that it was brought way back in the late 70s to early 80s. Zest (by Procter & Gamble) brings back some lemony memories for me. I loved the lingering scent as a child right up until it went out of circulation in the UK around 2006 (according to Wikipedia). I haven’t opened the packet but I can smell the scent through it, although it’s a little musty…. It’s always surprising what Throwbacks one can find when you pay a visit to your grandparents.
