With home energy bills rising, leaving households cash strapped, is urine generated electricity, as trialed by Brazil, the way forward for homeowners?
According to an article published in the Daily Star, March 8th 2013, urine is being used to generate electricity in parts of Brazil. Apparently, during the Rio carnival last year, special urinals were trialled with findings that urine produces energy in a similar way to hydroelectric power plants.
With energy prices currently soaring in the UK, leaving many Brits ‘without a pot to pee in’ when they receive their bills, this could prove to be a worthy find indeed.
